Who I am

Hello! My name is Amanda. Your queer, nerdy, neurodivergent counselor ready to help you on your healing journey.

I started my education at West Chester University where I graduated in 2018 with my Bachelors in Music Therapy. After an internship at a Philadelphia psychiatric hospital, I knew my calling was to work with teens and adults dealing with acute and chronic mental illness. I immediately went back to school in 2019 and got two masters degrees, Music Therapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Since 2021, I have been working with clients in person and via telehealth to help explore and grow into the humans they want to be. I believe that every client deserves an individualized treatment plan and my job as a therapist is to grow and learn to better help my clients.

My specialties are mood disorders, neurodiversity, and queer folks. Clients in these populations have often been told that they're wrong, and I want to help guide them to the supports and skills that will empower them. My non-judgmental approach applies to all folks, so whoever you are, you're welcome here.

When I’m not at work, I am an active member of a community band, go on hikes, hang with my cats, and play games of all types (board, video, TTRPG, etc.)
